Aircall Alternatives for Small Business (2026)

📖 9 min read 🗓 Updated 2026-10-08
By — operators and analysts behind the platform’s location data.
The 30-second version
  • Aircall lists Essentials at $30 and Professional at $50 per license per month with a 3-license minimum; the power dialer is on Professional.
  • Our pick for one to five people is Quo ($15, $23 and $35 per user billed yearly, no minimum shown), chosen on its published pricing; none of the phone tools here were tested by us.
  • For three users over 12 months: Aircall Essentials $1,080, RingCentral Core $900, Quo Business $828, Quo Starter $540, Google Voice Starter $360 (our arithmetic).
  • All prices were read from each vendor's page on 2026-10-08.

Aircall alternatives matter most to owners who read the pricing page and hit the minimum: Aircall's plans start at three licenses. Its pricing page, read on 2026-10-08, lists Essentials at $30 per license per month and Professional at $50, each with a 3-license minimum, and Enterprise at 25 licenses with custom pricing. That fits a sales or support team. It does not fit one owner and a driver. Below are the options for a small business that wants a business number, shared texting and call history without a team-sized bill. Prices come from each company's own page, checked 2026-10-08.

Why people look past Aircall, from its own page

Those are fair prices for a call team. They are a lot for an operator who makes a few dozen calls a week.

How we checked

On 2026-10-08 we read Aircall's pricing page, Quo's pricing page, RingCentral's plans and pricing page and Google Voice for Workspace, and copied plan names, prices and limits. We did not sign up for any of them or place a call, so we cannot speak to call quality or support. We give no scores, since a score for a tool we have not used would be invented.

Quo: our pick, not tested by us

Best for: an owner with one to five people who wants a separate business number, a shared inbox and call history without a minimum. Price: Starter $15, Business $23, Scale $35 per user per month billed yearly.

From its pricing page: one number per user, unlimited* calling and texting in the US and Canada, voicemail transcripts on every plan, a shared number for up to 10 paid users on Starter and unlimited on Business and Scale, automatic call recording on Business and Scale, and AI call summaries and transcripts. Integrations include HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM, Zapier and Jobber. Extra numbers are $5 a month each, and texting needs a $19.50 one-time carrier fee plus $1.50 to $3 a month.

Downsides from the page: call recording is manual on Starter, the shared number caps at 10 users on Starter, and no power dialer is listed. It has no call-center tools like live monitoring or call whispering in what we read. Skip it if you run a team that needs queue callbacks, live coaching or outbound campaign dialing.

RingCentral Core: more than a phone, not tested by us

Best for: a small team that also wants video meetings and team chat in the same bill. Core is $25 per user per month billed yearly ($35 billed monthly), with unlimited domestic calling, on-demand call recording, 25 SMS per user per month and meetings for up to 300 participants. Advanced at $30 and $40 adds CRM integrations and multi-site support.

Downside from the page: the text cap is small and the Business SMS Booster is a $25 add-on. Detail in RingCentral alternatives.

Google Voice for Workspace: cheapest listed, not tested by us

Best for: a business that already uses Google Workspace. Starter is $10 a user a month for up to 10 users, with one number for all devices, unlimited domestic calling and US texting, three-way calling and call recording. Standard at $20 adds auto attendants and ring groups. Read Google Voice alternatives for the free, personal version and where it stops.

Downside from the page: the starter plan lists no auto attendant or ring groups, and we did not check whether you need a separate Workspace plan to buy a license.

12-month cost for three people

Our arithmetic from the published prices, for three users for 12 months. It leaves out taxes, carrier fees, extra numbers and any Google Workspace subscription. Aircall's page does not say whether its prices are yearly or monthly rates, so we show it as listed.

Plan3 users, 12 months
Aircall Essentials$30 x 3 x 12 = $1,080
Aircall Professional$50 x 3 x 12 = $1,800
RingCentral Core (billed yearly)$25 x 3 x 12 = $900
Quo Business (billed yearly)$23 x 3 x 12 = $828
Quo Starter (billed yearly)$15 x 3 x 12 = $540
Google Voice Starter$10 x 3 x 12 = $360

If you are a team of one or two, Aircall cannot be bought at its listed minimum, so the first line becomes $1,080 no matter what. That gap is the reason most small owners look elsewhere.

Switching checklist

  1. Export call logs and recordings you want to keep before your last billing date. Recordings tend to live with the vendor.
  2. Start the new trial first, then port your number. Porting is not instant, and your sticker number should keep working throughout.
  3. Rebuild routing in a few lines. Business hours, a voicemail greeting and one auto-reply cover most small operators.
  4. Re-register for texting. A new provider needs its own carrier registration, which Quo lists at a one-time $19.50 plus a monthly fee.
  5. Cancel the old plan on a written date after the new line has worked for a week.

When to stay with Aircall

Stay if three or more people make or take calls every day, and especially if you rely on its power dialer, live monitoring, whispering or its Salesforce and HubSpot integrations. Stay if you are mid-contract. And stay if your callers need the shared-inbox and queue tools that the lighter apps do not list.

Most first agreements are two pages, not twenty. The contracts walkthrough lays out the clauses that actually matter for the contract, including the termination language operators forget about until they need it.

How to choose

Count the people who actually answer the phone. One to three, and a per-user app with no minimum wins. Next, decide if you call out or mostly take calls. If you place dozens of outbound calls a day, a dialer matters more than a nicer inbox, and our guide to the best auto dialer for small business lists real dialers with checked prices. Last, check texting: carriers charge to register business numbers, and caps differ by plan.

The calls that matter most for a vending business are to the person who decides where a machine goes. Need someone to call first? Find them with VendBuddy, our product: searching a ZIP is free, and one credit gets the best contact on file for one business. It is built for vending operators looking for locations and is not a phone system. The full number setup, with text templates, is in business phone setup for vending operators.

A smaller bill and no minimum is the main reason to try a lighter app. The trial is free.
