THE CONVERSATION, WRITTEN DOWN  ·  $47

The walk-in script, the three answers you will actually hear, and the agreement you put in front of them.

A per-placement locator charges $400 to $1,500 and never tells you what they said. This is that conversation written down, so the second location costs you nothing but your Saturday.

Exactly what is inside

  • The Cold Walk-In Pitch Script — the opener for whoever is at the desk, the 45-second pitch, and the close that puts an install date on the calendar
  • The three objections, answered word for word — "we had one before and it was always empty", "how much do we get?", "send me something"
  • What to Bring to a Pitch — the seven things to have on you before you push the door open
  • The Placement Agreement Template — a plain-English single-machine agreement in seven numbered sections, signable on the spot
  • The 50-state distributor list and the getting-started checklist, so the buying and setup side is covered too

A real page from inside

Verbatim from the Cold Walk-In Pitch Script. No summary, no paraphrase — this is the actual text.

This is the same structure VendBuddy's pitch generator uses, in walk-in form. The whole pitch is 45 seconds. The goal of the visit is NOT to close — it is to find the decision maker and leave a one-pager with your number.

Step 1 — the opener (to whoever is at the desk)

"Hi — quick question. Who handles decisions about the break room or amenities here? ... Great. Is that person around for literally two minutes, or should I leave something for them?"

If the decision maker is unavailable, leave your one-pager, get their NAME and email, and log it. That is a successful visit.

Step 2 — the 45-second pitch (to the decision maker)

"Thanks — I'll be quick. I run a local vending service. I'd place a modern machine here at zero cost to you: I buy it, stock it, service it weekly, and it takes cards and phones. Your staff gets snacks and drinks on-site, you get zero hassle — and if anything's ever wrong, you text me directly instead of an 800 number. Some locations also take a commission on sales, which we can talk about. What would I need to do to make that easy to say yes to?"

Step 3 — handle the three common responses

  • "We had one before and it was always empty/broken" — "That's exactly the gap I fill. My machines report sales remotely, so I restock before anything sells out, and you have my cell."
  • "How much do we get?" — "For a spot like this I typically do [0-10]% of gross sales, paid quarterly. Honestly, most locations care more that it just works — but I'm happy to put a commission in the agreement."
  • Who it is for, and who it is not

    Buy it if
    • You have a list of venues, or can build one, and the thing stopping you is not knowing what to say when the door opens.
    • You would rather own the method than rent a locator for every machine.
    • You want paper you can print and get signed in the room, not a template you still have to write.
    Do not buy it if
    • ×You want someone to find locations for you. This is not a locator service and it never promises you a placement.
    • ×You have not decided whether to do this at all. Start with the free locations guide and come back.
    • ×You expect a yes rate the script cannot deliver. It takes roughly 15 to 20 pop-ins to land one placement, and no document changes that arithmetic.
    What this does not do

We sell documents. We make no representation about the income, profit, or number of placements any operator will achieve. What is in the box is the conversation; what you get out of it depends entirely on how many doors you walk through.

    Straight answers

Is this a locator service? No. We do not find locations for you, we do not sell you leads, and we do not promise a placement. You get the documents operators use to go and do it themselves.
Will this make me money? We have no idea, and anyone who tells you otherwise is guessing. It takes 15 to 20 pop-ins to land one placement — that is the real math and it does not change based on who you pay.
What format?PDF, delivered by Gumroad right after you buy. Print the script and the agreement; they are meant to be carried, not read on a phone.
Do I need a machine already? No, and the checklist argues you should secure the spot first anyway. The distributor list is in here for when you are ready to buy.
Is the agreement legally binding? It is a plain-English template with bracketed fields, not legal advice. Have a local attorney review it before you rely on it — that is true of any template you find anywhere.
