Know a place that needs a vending machine? Pass it on.

Your office break room with nothing in it. The apartment lobby where everyone asks for a cold drink. The gym that sells water from a mini fridge. Tell us the place and we pass it to a local vending operator who can set it up at no cost to the property. It takes about a minute.

The place
1. How do you know it?
How the operator reaches you
Email or phone, one is enough. The operator only uses it to ask about the place.

What makes a good tip

Operators look for people who stay a while and get hungry or thirsty: shift workers, residents, members, patients waiting, students. A place with 40 or more people on a normal weekday usually gets a look, and so do apartment buildings around 90 units and up. Smaller places can still work when an operator already stops nearby. The offices, apartments and warehouses guides show what each kind of place usually needs.

The best tips name who decides. In an office that is usually the office manager or HR, in an apartment community the property manager, in a gym the owner or general manager. A name saves the operator a week of cold calls.

Questions people ask

Do I get paid for a tip?

No. Some sites pay a bounty when a tip turns into a sale. We do not, and we never will promise money for a tip. You get a machine where you work, live or hang out, which is the point.

Who sees what I send?

Up to two vending operators who work near the place, and only after you tick the consent box. They see the place, the notes and your contact details so they can ask you who to talk to. Nobody else does.

Will the operator mention my name to the manager?

Not unless you say they can. Put that in the notes either way. Most tips are simple: someone tells the operator who runs the place, and the operator takes it from there.

What if nobody works near the place?

We tell you straight away and hold the tip. When an operator who covers that area signs up, they get it, and we let you know.

I run the place. Should I use this form?

You can, but the free vending machine check is a better fit. It tells you whether operators are likely to want your spot before you send anything.

Does it cost the place anything?

Normally no. The operator owns, stocks and fixes the machine and earns from what sells. The place usually covers the electricity, roughly $20 to $40 a month for a modern machine.
