That part of the job had no tooling. Operators pulled addresses off Google Maps by hand, guessed who managed the property, and wrote placement agreements from scratch.

VendBuddy publishes several hundred operator guides, and the whole point of them is that an operator can act on the numbers. So the editorial rules are narrow and we hold to them:
- Ranges, not headline averages. A machine that grosses $400 a month and one that grosses $3,000 are both real. We publish the spread and what moves you along it, because a single average hides the only decision that matters.
- Every figure is attributed. Industry statistics carry a named source. Numbers that come from our own dataset are labelled VendBuddy operator data and described as exactly that — not dressed up as an industry study.

The same record then moves through the pipeline, the product planner, the contract creator and the route dashboard. So the location you found is the location you go on to track.
