Questions
How are vending routes valued?
Usually as a multiple of annual cash flow, the money left after product, fees, commissions and running costs. Public listings put the median asking price at roughly two to three times cash flow, with wide variation by state; the guide shows the current figures.
What should I check before buying a vending route?
That sales match bank deposits, that every location has a written agreement that can be assigned to you, that revenue is not concentrated in one site, and that the machines work and can be repaired. The checklist covers each in order.
Is the listing data what routes actually sold for?
No. It is what sellers are asking on public listings. Use it to sanity-check a price, then negotiate from verified numbers.
Does this replace an attorney or accountant?
No. It helps you find problems before you pay for their time. Have both review the purchase agreement and the books before closing.
