This vending machine pitch script for Australian sites is built for the places that work here: warehouses, depots, workshops, gyms and campus buildings. It covers the reception line, a 45-second pitch for the site or office manager, three objections and the close. It is adapted from our US script, with the site agreement and public liability questions Australian managers ask first.
At reception
"G'day, I run a local vending business. Who looks after the lunchroom or the site facilities? Happy to come back, or grab an email."
The 45-second pitch
"I supply and look after snack and drink machines for sites like this, at no cost to you. I bring the machine, keep it stocked and clean, and fix it if something goes wrong. Your crew can grab a drink or a feed on any shift, and it takes tap-and-go. I'm insured for public liability and I'll put it all in a short site agreement with notice either way. Mind if I have a look where it could go?"
Then ask: how many people on site, what hours, and how far it is to the nearest shop.
The three objections
- "We've already got someone." "No worries. If they ever let it run empty, give me a call. Can I leave my card?"
- "Sounds like hassle." "It's the opposite. I do the restocks, cleaning and repairs. You just call me if anything's off."
- "What's it cost us?" "Nothing for the machine or stock. It needs a powerpoint and a bit of floor space. If you want a commission, we'll write it into the agreement."
The close
"Let's trial it for three months. I'll send the site agreement this week, and if it's not getting used you give notice and I'll take it out."
What to bring
